How Much Oil is Enough?

question-marks

One of the most common questions I get asked at classes is “How do I know how much of an oil to use?”  My first response is to explain the power of one drop of oil.  One drop of peppermint is equivalent to 28 cups of peppermint tea!!   The rule of thumb is to use smaller doses with greater frequency.

But how about a chart that spells out just what is appropriate for a dose?  This chart was shared with us at the doTERRA Convention a couple of years ago, and I found it very helpful. To understand the difference between “internal” and “oral,” look at it this way. You can take an oil internally by placing it in an empty Veggie Cap or using one of our ready-to-use softgels.  But oral will involve the tongue.  You might place a drop directly under the tongue or place a couple of drops in a shot glass of water.

If you have further questions on how to safely use essential oils or how to get doTERRA oils into your home and to purchase them at wholesale, be sure to contact me or visit my website myoils4u.com.

Yummy, Fresh Recipe for Green-Goddess Sandwich

I’m looking forward to trying this recipe.  I will probably make it as written for my husband, but I think I’ll substitute a nice firm tofu for me instead of the chicken.

Black Bean Burgers

This sounds so yummy! I can’t wait to try it. While I’m not officially a vegetarian, I find that I simply feel better when I don’t eat meat. Once I try this recipe, I’ll let you know what I think about it.

I think it would go great with the beautiful bowl of mixed berries I am enjoying right now. Don’t you just love summer weather with some strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries?! I could eat these all day long!!
